This is a theme park dedicated to Hokkaido’s famous confectionery, “Shiroi Koibito.” The medieval European-style buildings offer tours of the production process and cookie-making experiences (“My Shiroi Koibito”). The gorgeous English garden, the clock tower with carillons, and limited-edition sweets are also popular, making it a highly popular, photogenic spot for tourists.

As the oldest beer museum in Japan, you can learn about the history of Sapporo Beer, which dates back to the pioneering era in 1876. In addition to the free self-guided tour, the Premium Tour (paid, reservation required) which includes a limited beer tasting, is popular. You can also enjoy Jingisukan at the adjacent Sapporo Beer Garden.

The main shrine of Hokkaido, founded by the order of Emperor Meiji. It is known as a powerful spiritual spot enshrining the pioneering deities, attracting many worshipers from inside and outside Hokkaido. The spacious grounds are surrounded by rich nature, home to wildlife like Ezo squirrels. In spring, the simultaneous bloom of cherry and plum blossoms is beautiful, and in winter, the snow cover offers stunning, seasonal Japanese scenery.

Odori Park, which spreads out at the base of the tower, hosts various events year-round, such as the “Sapporo Snow Festival,” “Lilac Festival,” and “Sapporo Autumn Fest,” attracting large crowds.
